Probably the best VG anime adaptation I've seen.

That being said, there aren't too many good ones. I personally thought the DMC anime was lame.

Agreed. The only vidya adaptation/spin-off I've ever actually enjoyed. Its quiet subtlety is fairly rare in anime in general.

It was horrible on its own, but I thought it was a fun watch if you played the game.
I didn't like the p3 movies as much, but I haven't watched the last one yet and I heard lots of good stuff about it.

tt only adapts the Golden only events like the beach trip and the ski trip. It skips over most of the other stuff so you can't watch it as a standalone.
Only worth watching if you watched the original anime or played the orignal game to fill in the blanks between episodes.

Also this is a legit good companion piece for character backstories. Shame that the game will probably be disappointing in several ways, but there's always hope that it's actually good.

I didn't realize there are people who actually like DMC's anime adaption.

The anime was more of a slice of life with a half-assed (and out-of-place) mystery theme than action. Wait, did I just say action? Sorry; wrong anime.

I mean, just look at the "fight scenes". 90% of them were like "Dante puts his hand on his sword, screen flashes, enemy is dead on the floor". That's not even a fight scene to begin with.

Did those people actually play DMC at all? Are they aware that it had some rather epic cinematics, gameplay, weapons and moves? Where are them all in the anime? It takes a lot of gal to create an anime with this level of "action" and call it a DMC adaption.
