Other characters have had daddy issues like Kaiba, other characters have had multiple personalities inside themselves like Yuma and Yugi, other characters have gone berserk/evil like Judai, other characters have embodied a simple philosophy and beat people over the head with it like Jesus "KIZUNA" Fudo, other characters have been shown to be hyperactive and stubborn with their personal philosophies like Yuma, other characters have shown positive attitudes and love towards dueling like Judai and Yugi. Let's not forget other characters have put their school jackets on their back like Atem. Other characters have also had magical items around their necks that aid said character like Yuma and Yugi.

Really, a lot of the problems with the show stem from this. The filler arcs are heavy offenders, obviously, but the show has a much slower pace than others. In others, they have a lot of filler episodes, but in DM they just drag everything out far longer than it has to be. The Duelist Kingdom finals were where I gave up any hope on them getting better, because some episodes had only two-three turns pass, with each one stopping to show the thoughts each duelist was having, as well as the sidelines, in great detail--and they all thought the exact same thing. Bakura saying "he made it through this turn, but he's not out of the woods yet" after literally every turn got on my nerves.

Looking back it speaks a lot of volumes back when 5D's was good, the Signers made a better team than the Lancers who literally never once acted like one and had a shitty leader that was never called out on all of his crap.

Having a card summoned from the Main Deck using its own effect is extremely rare for a Normal Effect card. Given that Rituals main problem is that they come from the Main Deck, that can be leveraged into an advantage. By summoning from the Deck, you get to remove 1 card from your Deck, thus raising the odds of drawing others cards and of course you get to shuffle it as well. I will admit that Ritual Summons from Grave are great but it's been long overdue for Rituals to get their own (non-Rank Up) Xyz Change/Contact Fusion-tier submethod to end bricking.

Watching Rider and Sentai is a different experience from watching anime. CGI is really common and budget issues are a real thing in these franchises. You'll have gimmicks introduced but rarely used later on because of the budget like Kabuto's clock up, OOO's Gatakiriba and Faiz's Axel. The middle of shows usually drag a whole lot with filler to save budget and extend the plot for the whole year. Both franchises have great series and not liking one doesn't mean you won't like another.

Gaim is alright. It and Madoka take a whole lot from Kamen Rider Ryuki which Urobuchi sucks off all the time. They are both way inferior to it though and Gaim seems to miss the point of Ryuki a lot of the time.

The majority of his duels since then were more than duels. They were outright clashes of ideals, where the opponents were trying to exert their own.

Somebody somewhere was leaning on Arc-V's staff during production. Synchro screams "we suddenly had a bunch of time that we had no clue what to do with", which usually indicates that an arc was cut wholesale or they were suddenly given loads more time to work with that they didn't prepare for.

Completely disagree. He carried the show on his back. He was entertaining to watch and it was fascinating to see the two sides of him struggle. He's like a Faust lite but his zany, over-the-topness is icing on the cake. His development throughout the course of the show was nice too. Despite all the shit he did you can't help but cry at the end.

I get the feeling Yuzu won't get brainwashed and they won't get her out of her jail until it's too late for bracelet-kun to stop HITOTSU NI.

Except it wasn't a clash of ideals in most of those duels. Many of those characters had no ideals and Yuya ignored them most of the time to duel his own way. No ones ideals are expanded upon and the fact that they would give up their ideals after one duel is retarded.

Well it fits with how Ono mentioned the show was originally a 2 year project. My problem is despite all that shit, why the fuck did Xyz and Fusion so far suck ass? Surely those arcs were probably part of the original 2 year plan but why does it look they were half-assed? Clearly this upcoming stuff in 126 must definitely have been part of the original 2 year plot but I can't even tell if it will be good or not because they could have modified it to fit a three year pattern.

While I agree the filler is horrible the death games t aren't necessary for the duelist kingdom arc. You only need Yugi defeating Kaiba, but there's a huge difference between anime Kaiba and Manga Kaiba and that's where Death Ganes T and his previous stuff is important.

The series really messed up due to multiple writers leaving, the writers that were still there chose to go with nostalgia for the sake of shilling, and making Yuya a Messiah, while in the manga she's pretty much pre!Strawhat Nami.

Xyz seems like it was cut short somehow, and feels tremendously rushed. It's possible that they overextended their time with Synchro, which has been known to happen with these sorts of things. Whether that was just a sad accident or whether they were told to is the great mystery.

It's also possible they're just suffering from the Japanese Kids' Show Anniversary curse. Gokaiger and Decade both suffered a lot of issues in their production that made the experience fairly lackluster. Riderfags could tell you more about Decade, but Gokaiger had a big earthquake hit in the middle of production, and a huge load of Sentai vets phoned in requests to make a guest appearance on the show, when the staff had only prepared for about a dozen to originally show up. As a result, there's a huge section in the middle of Gokaiger where basically nothing fucking happens, because the writers had to write in about 25 extra people.

Exactly 1 (one, singular) writer worth noting left the show in the middle of Standard (Zappa Gou). Otherwise, Kamishiro, Tamura (Gou's replacement) and Hirota (who writes only occasionally anyway) have stuck around. There have been occasional one-off writers, but every Yugioh series has done that.

Fucking at least check the credits for yourself before spouting off whatever bullshit you feel like. NAC even has a list in English if you're too dumb to distinguish names on the ja.wikipedia page.

It's not just important for showing Kaiba's character and why he does certain things (like attempting to kill himself) but it also logically explains why Pegasus wants to take over KC. It's because Kaiba lost to Atem in Death-T that KC stocks went down and put the rep of KC in a bad light. This gave Pegasus the opportunity to seize the company and his drive for doing so was the talk he had with Kaiba at a dueling event where Kaiba talked about Solid Vision tech. Pegasus wanted that tech to recreate the image of Cyndia and he could obtain it by beating Atem who beat Kaiba in a duel, hence why he held DK. Meanwhile, the anime glosses over these details and it doesn't set a clear impetus for why Pegasus wants the company. That half-assed first episode that tries to act like it's Death-T is just so bad it sets the anime arc up for failure.
