She is described as a "pure" assassin who kills people she decides need to die but then generates no malevolence from it. So she can basically do no wrong and is exempt from the rules of the world just because she think she's always right. Mikleo initially questions how this is possible but other than that it's just accepted and everyone sings her praises for the rest of the game.

The fact that she is this way because she is Baba's waifu pisses people off. And the fact that Alisha got the shaft because of Baba shoehorning in his waifu pisses people off.

The whole killing is saving in the second half of the game was just horribly done, the cast of Zestiria js end up feeling like a group of psychopaths who have one of the highest killing tally while still trying to keep the moral high ground , it's strange as fuck and Sorey feels like he was mindfucked into thinking that way.

This gets worse when you get several quests that illustrate how her type of thinking is bad and is causing problems, yet we all kind of ignore this basic aspect of Rose's character.

Along with Lailah basically telling Sorey that Rose is a much better Shepherd than he is because she unquestioningly gets rid of hellions.

The worst though was the moment where Sorey and Mikleo find out about their past and Rose butts in and says she doesn't understand feelings and such, then the two of them are apologizing to her.

Friend of mine played the game concurrently with me. He liked Rose. I cannot fathom how shitty his taste is, especially since we agreed on all other points (bland gameplay, characters don't even really care about each other, too many recap skits, water levels are always the worst, etc.). I do think it's objectively unfair for Alisha but I see no reason to cry over spilled milk anymore. Additionally, I didn't care for Alisha's type in the first place. She's remarkably dull, even by Tales standards. I think seeing her personality alongside Eleanor kind of convinced me that I wouldn't have cared to have Alisha along either. I thought of it as what happens most times of the week or during weekends. They go and explore ruins, read books etc. so at the end of the night they sleep in one of their houses.

The painful wording I took it more as because now Sorey is a Shepherd and has all these stuff to do, he feels more lonely.
