This show originally showed a little promise. Edgy to be sure, but maybe a little refreshing in the unapologetic application of gore and death. This quickly wore off however and in combination with the minimal character development it became very repetitive very quickly.

The most unforgivable part of the entire anime was when Incursio transformed and his helmet changed color. What a fucking waste. I love power ups but Tatsumi's long-awaited empowerment was just shit. Absolutely bland as far as main characters go. Not to mention his heroic but equally boring death. If you're going to kill off your main character, don't have him die saving people the audience has absolutely zero attachment to.
