I feel that Jojo pretty much never taking itself seriously is the reason for its success and how long it has managed to stay fresh. Although the current stuff and SBR is more serious. When a series is just completely absurd it's hard to care about inconsistencies or retarded stuff like the Joseph's arm thing.
