Can somebody explain to me what exactly Koyomimonogatari is? I watched the first 3 eps and decided to drop it because it seemed to be just inane dialogues about non-plot-related stuffs.

But then, just for the heck of it, I skipped to the last episode, and good god what a fucking HUGE plot development that was. This would affect the whole series in a big way.
