Obscure beauties thread.

Dude showed he was a real hero and ends up getting laid by an alien hottie.
>>146779823
Sophie was absolutely beautiful, very cool movie too with a unique post-apocalypse concept. Actually all the girls weren't bad but Sophie tops them all.
Novel worth checking out or is it not translated into English yet?
Kuwahara, not the squeaky one.
>>146780345
Dark Horse released it years ago. It's not bad.
Kayo is cute.
>>146781219
I'll check it out then if it is still in print. Always love Kikuchi's covers and I've been meaning to get the Vampire Hunter D novels specifically for that reason.
>>146779647
>>146781261
I've been meaning to watch this lately, do I watch Samurai Horror Tales or just jump straight into Mononoke?
>>146782537
Pretty sure there is a torrent up on nyaa for just the Bakeneko portion of Ayakashi.
Watch that then start the series.
More Kayo that way too.
The symbolism was so much that I didn't really wanna fuck Virgin Mary by the end of the movie. Though beautiful design.

>>146784389
>I didn't really wanna fuck Virgin Mary
Tell that to Shindol
>>146779647
Sophie is cute! CUTE!
but she's kind of a cunt
>>146785846
>Nike To Thank
how do the japs come up with those names?
>no OVA ever
>>146786123
very cheeky!
Makie is lovely!
probably the main inspiration for Sanakan.
>>146786919
Too flat, to be honest. Just the era it was made plus the illustrator is a well known breast connoisseur.
>>146787248
I'm not talking about her tits I'm talking about her little chipmunk cheeks.
still more attractive than the protagonist
>>146787339
His faces are great, yeah. I thought you meant her ass.
Is there a name for that kind of elegant, beautiful anime women from the 80s?
>>146787487
her butt is cute and firm and tight. It's perfect
>they turned her into a generic ara-ara big-boobed slut with heavy makeup and a fat face
unforgivable

>>146787569
There is no name. It was simply the standard before moeshit.
>>146787958
It was one standard among others.
But it's the best.
Amusingly enough the most recent occurrence of this character type comes from a fucking video game.
>>146788058
I'm saddened greatly it fell out of favor and in place moe became the norm.
>>146787862
I mean it wasn't gentle to anyone.
>>146788123
It was never the norm, though, it was largely confined to shoujo romance and seinen.
>>146788179
Gieve-san is so dreamy.
>>146788058
doll is comfy
You got ten seconds to tell me if that lipstick looks good on me before I splatter your brains across the wall, cocksucker!

I like the new ost and Daryun though.
>>146786123
>>146782537
The Ayakashi Bakeneko part is actually still my favorite, so yea you should watch that first.
>>146781261
>tfw will never get more Mononoke with Kayo as the recurring and later permanent main girl who accompanies Kusuriuri on his travels
Is F6-402 beautiful and obscure enough?
Not sure what obscure here means but here you go.
>>146787763
See, you appreciate her even more than I do, I can't debate that. Best girl from a top tier designer.
Plastic Little was great, but Urushihara didn't design nearly enough anime. Mostly known for his game design (which that is from, but it does have an anime intro).
Miyu had really nice art.
Ai City was FUCKING AMAZING
>>146789038
>mfw retarded underage newfags say that there can't possibly be any good horror anime
Is there so little porn of those girls because they're too obscure, or are they so obscure because there's too little porn of them?
And would you want there to be more porn of them anyway?
>>146786248
Just watched that the other night.
Starlight Angel is my favorite.
>>146789330
it's great but Presence is the most beautiful.
>>146788618
I love Urushihara's shiny girls.
>>146789038
ova > t.v. show
>>146789475
especially when they're very floofy
>>146789405
It's more profound.
What were they trying to say?
He's a feminist but he hates his wife and builds a waifubot but smashes her and she takes him to the afterlife.
>>146789528
And metallic.
>>146789599
I don't think it has any meaning. It's just a romantic fairytale about a toymaker and his doll. Umetsu came up with the concept while checking out a bunch of pics of Imogen Stubbs and Madonna, it's no deeper than that.
>>146789705
nono
That would only work if they were robots but they aren't.
this thread deserves to be on top of the catalogue because it's full of good taste
>>146787155VAGINA MONSTER
>>146790339
Yeah they got one of those in twilight of the dark master too
APPRECIATE THOSE GIRLS
SAY NICE THINGS ABOUT THEM
>>146788058
ACKTCHUALLY
there's several in that new taiwanese puppet show
and this is the best
>>146789521
I wholeheartedly agree. The tv show did have plenty of good moments though.
>>146789210
Most of the good horror anime are old that's why. The only one I can think of off the top of my head that's fairly new is Mononoke.
>>146791092
Wew, that is one nasty stinger.
>>146791779
You know what horror anime that's pretty old and short is also fucking great and obscure as fuck?
The curse of Kazuo Umetsu.
But unfortunately none of the characters are really beautiful cause they all got spooky eyes.
On a side note, why is it that the overwhelming majority of spooky horror anime/manga (as opposed to gorefests) comes from shoujo publications or is aimed at girls?
>>146791988
Oh, that looks interesting thanks for the rec anon.
and I don't know. but I think that combining horror with romantic themes is just delicious. Feelings, emotions, and imagination take priority over logic and facts. Especially when dealing with actual romance, it blends well with supernatural and sometimes extreme horror/gore imagery. I always get a tragic offbeat feel from romance in horror.
That's what really makes a good horror imo. The psychological aspect with supernatural and sometimes gorey imagery. It gives you a sense of "this could really happen" and it fucks with your head.
I do wonder about why it is that women seem to write more horror. Makes me think about how Miyu's author said she had to constantly remind herself she was writing a horror manga when dealing with Miyu/Larva relationship since it's heavily implied romance.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's it's exactly what Oshii was trying to do with GitS but since he also made the characters super inexpressive and shallow, it kinda falls flat.
I much prefer anime that are more open about their romantic themes like Vampire Hunter D.
Bloodlust is an ABSOLUTE masterpiece.
