The first two thirds are exceptional with the stunning visuals, and oshii's philosophical mindfuck rambling. The last third drag out a bit, introduces a lame character and finishes with an anti-climax.
I liked some episodes more. With all the praise it gets, I had over-expectations. But it's definitely on the upper quarter of the best UY.
