I think the dumbest thing is how the author tried to make the mafia like the yakuza. the mafia is built of exploitation, extortion, schemes and scams yet nobody in the entire series does any of that. It's all this protecting the family from other family bullshit and while true, mafioso had wars with other families that shit didn't happen often, their main business were rackets and expanding their turf. Plus, there are 2 things the son of a major mafioso must do to be accepted by not only the head brass but also his "co workers" so to speak, 1, not be a virgin and 2, beat up or kill somebody the family needs beat up or killed. Tsuna only did the second, which I guess is okay for a shonen manga but they could of at least tried to work the "get this guy to fuck" angle so those two girls who will obviously be his wife and his mistress would have some use in this story.

Ah, well, at the end of the day the series really only stayed alive by the power of fujo rather than it's writing.

It was just one whole arc of Natsu OHKOing enemies left and right, including that guy Gildarts fought on Tenrou island, the leader of the cult who was supposed to be so badass he burned his face off and the God of Fucking War itself.

Also Seven Deadly Sins is only consistent in writing for about 5 episodes. As soon as the second fight starts it becomes asspull general, also all the MCs are literal gods that force you their sob story. Generic shounen(and many other genres) formula of keeping/bringing back all the cool or popular villains and characters. Many authors do this for the really popular villains, see Vegeta. Some rely far too heavy on it just to keep their series from getting canned. Fairy Tail doesn't have many cool or interesting villains/characters so the author has to rely on bring back fap bait insted. Seriously, she can murder a ton a babies and eat their dicks, if she has tits you can guarantee she'll be back as a good character in FT.

I've never had problem with the way One Piece and Naruto handled pirates and ninja, but for some reason I've always hated the way Reborn handled the mafia. I've never understood why. Is it just double standards?

It is completely abandoned during the Future Arc that is about Pokemon fighting interdimensional monsters. There's absolutely nothing mafia about that.

Naruto and OP take a lot of liberties and there's the power creep problem but they never divert as ridiculously from their original theme as Reborn.

On the whole reborn was pretty cool. For an action show for kids I thought it was fun.

KHR was better when it was a gag manga. The Mukuro arc did an okay job of blending battle shounen with the wacky characters but after that it just spiraled out of control.

I enjoyed the Varia arc at the time, but really that's where everything started to go wrong. Should have stayed a gag series. I miss it.
