Basically you don't make more than about 15,000 yen per episode as a new talent. That's about $150. Even vets with an extremely long amount of time under their belt don't make an enormous amount of money.

Kaneda Tomoko has been in the industry for over 15 years and still only makes about 30,000 yen per episode. That's like $300.
Agents get a portion of the money they make and they aren't guaranteed any money from other material like DVD and later broadcasts.

Only an estimated 10% of seiyuu make enough money to live on. The rest make their money through other jobs and use being a seiyuu as advertisement.

So no, Arc-V's cast being poorly used has nothing to do with money and everything to do with poor management.

Even actors in Japan make peanuts starting out. Tori Matsuzaka who was Shinkenred in Shinkenger was paid so poorly that he was living off water while working on the show. He'd drink until he was full and the Sentai/Power Ranger brand makes a shitload every year. It makes billions of yen a year yet the lead actor was living off water.

I wanted to see the LDS kids doing all they can as they hide out in YSDS, praying for Yuya and Yuzu to come back.
I wanted to see Shuzo becoming a leader because he knows how to use Pendulum cards despite being an adult, with Himika providing him the means of communicating to the masses as well as stronger cards from his archetype.
I wanted to see Yoko and the Maiami Queens take back the streets of Maiami from Obelisk Force.

I never thought Kaz would allow something like that but I guess Konami loved to mess with people again.
I guess we only set ourselves up to be disappointed since no pairing in YGO ever went anywhere.

The show is already doing poor. We don't need another lame extension like the synchro arc, especially rituals since they're just inferior synchro summoning.

The teasing is enough to suggest there is something there and quite frankly Kaz is under no obligation to officially make Yugi and Anzu a couple. Furthermore, this is a shonen so no outright romance is not a big deal. I'm much rather happy with the more realistic approach he took and had them go off and pursue their professional careers before considering the possibility of getting together.

People bitched about those because they came out of nowhere. The main series didn't have romance in them. Just shitty timeskips, especially in the case of Bleach. I know Kishi has admitted to being shit at female characters and romance but Kubo was just inexcusable. I don't even think he's said anything since Bleach ended.

It's got pretty good reviews though, better than most recent movies at the box office.

Essentially yes, preferably older viewers too since the manga is quite old now and people who read the manga back then are adults by now. It makes sense too as we see the characters we grew up with finally grow up on their own and move forward with their futures. It adds this extra layer of depth to the movie that the viewer can relate to and many people in the audience were literally crying in the theater from I have heard.
