It's insanely ironic that the Stand ability the Nijimura brothers were hoping to create vis-a-vis their crimes that had the power to kill their ever-regenerating father all ready existed and its user was in their town the entire time.

Shame Araki never chose to elaborate on that. Might have made for a brief, but poignant bit of reflection for Okuyasu that would help bridge who he was at the start of the story to who he is near the end.

Nah, I like how those characters appear and disappear when they come in and out of proximity of Johnny and Gyro. They didn't need development because they were only tertiary at best. Diego was more of a secondary character, so it made sense he did more.

Hot Pants was the one who he probably dropped the ball on, she needed more. But Araki really wasn't interested in showing the growth and development of a whole cast of characters in SBR, he was focused on Johnny, Gyro and to a lesser extent Lucy. That focus is what made it great.

One thing about that SBR is that every fight felt momentous and important - that's not something usually seen in other parts. Not sure what to make of this. S-man's given the opening chapter, yet isn't a Jojo or a throwaway character. Johnny doesn't appear until the end of the second chapter, with the weakest appearance among the major characters that have appeared by that point. Maybe leading with S-man and Gyro (and Poco) was meant to show Johnny as an unremarkable character to highlight his growth relative to Gyro.

It was really really comforting to see Johnny talking to Lucy and Steven Steel about Gyro and the race, while he was finally standing up, no less. I personally don't have much a problem with Kira failing as a result of overconfidence since it's pretty much a staple of JoJo that the villain fails partially due to overconfidence. But the other villains always had the protagonist at victory's grasp or had reasons for even pushing them that far, and it fits their personalities.

Kira, the villain who everyone says is smarter than the other villains, who is designed as a suave, serial killer type that contrasts with the other world-conquering baddies, who the story repeteadly portrays as the smartest man in the city, literally screams "I AM THE INVINCIBLE SERIAL KILLER YOSHIKAGE KIRA" in the middle of the fucking street and that's what gets Josuke to identify him.

There's "character flaw" and there's "out of character for the sake of the plot". I understand Kira is supposed to be super smug during Bites The Dust but this is just retarded and lazy.

Why did all of you forgive them for this? Killer Queen's reveal should have been the biggest anime moment of the year, and one of the biggest moments of my life and it was fucking ruined.
