It's really good. The unique use of their abilities is what really sets JoJo apart from other shonen chaff, the amount of strategy the characters employ in the battles is impressive.

Well there is that, characters do get slimmer later on in the series, though they're no shortage of posing. It does have a really good story(s) too. The series is separated into 8 parts (each having a different protagonist and set of characters with some returning from previous parts) and each part is pretty different tonally. And If you like waifus there's certainly some grade A ones.

If you like HxH you'll most likely like JoJo. It's a lot longer so it'll keep you busy. It's just over 900 chapters currently and partway through Steel Ball Run it went monthly so the last 150 chapters have been really fucking long compared to weekly chapters.

Might as well ask here, what's HxH best translation available?

JoJo is the epitome of Style over Substance. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Don't take this the wrong way, JoJo also has good stories and great characters. It's just that you should expect it to be fun but not insanely well written.
