Not that anon, and I actually enjoyed it, but it was pretty stupid of them to cut the exposition sequence from Movie 4 (when Ataru and Mendo go see Mendo's grandfather, there was supposed to be a scene where they meet him and most stuff is explained. The final movie just skips it and it's never clear what Ataru and Mendo learned there completely). Some people don't like random unanswered mysteries.

UY is the product of its era, where young directors and animators working in economic boom context had plenty of freedom and money. Recreating these circumstances today is not easy. It's unimaginable today to let a young Oshii mess around with a tv show for 100 episodes. Even Gintama did never come close to the peak of craziness of some UY episodes.
If UY has to be revived today, It needs to be subtle modernized by a competent writer who's familiar with the franchise, because many of the tropes UY introduced back then are common place today.

A tsundere is a character that gets angry a lot, but hides a softer side.

Lum hides nothing. She is completely open about her feelings.

A full on yandere would never openly fight with the MC, they're more the type to watch creepily from the shadows all while putting on a sugary sweet facade at all times.

Hence why I said Lum is a mix of both the tsundere and yandere archetypes. She's got the clingyness/obsessiveness of the yandere while also having the short-temper and violent, hostile tendencies towards the MC of a tsundere.

In short, she's the perfect mix of both and is best girl.
