Not really. It's not a romance series. Ichigo shows absolutely zero romantic interest in any character throughout the entire series. I mean absolute zero. As in, the statement holds true for every single scene and panel in the entire manga. Similarly, Rukia also didn't ever show any romantic interest in him.

Rukia was special in the sense that she was a support to Ichigo's character until he managed to outgrow her. Orihime always was the romantic interest but was played in a much more subtle and softspoken manner. Bleach isn't about romance. Even the last chapter isn't about it.

You started with the anime, and it shows. Pierrot tried to artificially prop Rukia as the love interest even when Orihime was always meant to have that spot, so they deleted scenes and panels implying it while giving Rukia more romantic-looking stuff witu Ichigo.

I would've loved to see Abe and the script writers' faces as they read Orihime's "five lives, one love" scene and realized her feelings were there to stay.

I couldn't help but giggle because Rolo's Geass was constantly cutting off Lulu's screaming. Rolo's death was a sad, but he kind of earned it by being a shit up until that point. Shirley didn't deserve anything that happened to her. I'm not a fan of her type of character, but her suffering was pretty tragic considering how she got caught up in the violence.
