I honestly don't think the 2016 anime is terrible, sure the animation sucks, but I think any berserk fan will enjoy it for what it is, I'm really enjoying it honestly. But I do hope there's some better animation coming soon for newer episodes.
But since then I honestly don't even care about it because I love berserk so much.
