I've only just watched it and was surprised how good it was. All I'd heard before was that it were garbage.

Admittedly it doesn't even try to hide that it's self-insert. Nothing inherently wrong with that.

There was one point at which I thought it might get boring. Namely when they went to fight the skull snake thing. But apparently the author thought the same thing and inserted the plot twist ending the first arc at just the right point.

Too bad the the second arc couldn't keep the quality up.

I genuinely liked it. I went on to read the LNs up to it's current point.

Thing is, I know it's not a masterpiece. Nor is it gods anime on earth. There is no special plot or super intricate MC to make your 'intellectual' taste buds orgasm.

But that doesn't mean one can't enjoy it. That doesn't mean when I say I like it (or OP says he likes it) we need an entire thread of people vomiting at us.

Remember /a/utists that yes you have your opinions, and yes we know you can have them. But you need to realise memes and hiveminds are not the be all and end all and eventually even anime like SAO need some acceptance.
