That's heresy #1: He doesn't "earn" his winnings. In another show this might be forgivable. School Days exacerbates it with his next flaw: His conquests don't actually make him powerful. He has "dominated" Sekai by putting a baby in her, but she's still able to hurt him and kill him. Worse yet, she in turn is easily killed by Kotonoha. For a true alpha male, this is totally unthinkable: Giving a woman the dick should make her belong to you, dammit! It should control her thoughts and make her addicted to your cum! It doesn't work out that way for Makoto. He's no more powerful after fucking bitches than he was when he was a virgin. The show might as well be punching the true believers in the balls.

I hate Makoto because he's a legitimately bad person.

I'm not hating on him for sleeping with a lot of girls. Power to him if he had done it the right way but he does literally everything wrong. He completely betrays the one girl who really loved him and leads her into a spiraling depression and drives her mad, he let her get raped on top of it.

He also completely turned his back on Sekai who or may or not have been pregnant (At least go to the doctor and get proof before snubbing her). Sekai is a bad person too but if there's a baby in the picture, you have to do something.

Pretty much everyone in this show is a bad person though with like a couple exceptions but Makoto is just particularly a cunt. If Makoto just kept himself distant and never led any of them along and just fucked a lot of girls unashamedly, then he probably would have been one of favorite MC's.

Plus Makoto is just infuriating in general. He's indecisive, spineless, never takes responsibility, an asshole and not even in a redeemable way. I got so mad in the last episode where Sekai is just kind of trying to make this shitty situation work and he's just an indecisive prick fucking with the girl he's already emotionally destroyed. Kotonoha is legitimately broken inside and obsessed with Makoto.

So many things make him horrible. He's a beta and an alpha at the same time but he does everything in the worst way possible. There are ways to be an awesome alpha dog that fucks all the girls and doesn't really give a fuck but Makoto just makes all the wrong decisions.
