No he's not, he's a genuinely terrible character that completely ruins the show.

They had a western-inspired show comprised of fun characters, insane action, witty dialogue and top tier jazz, but the faggot creator just had to shoehorn a "japanese-style" character in it. He's not funny, completely stoic, has no chemistry with the other characters and his overpoweredness and ability to slice anything dissolves the tension of way too many chase scenes, and lets the writers to be less creative.

Absolute putrid character. Literally the most idiotic idea I've ever seen.

I don't feel as strongly about it as you, but I definitely agree. Character design wise Lupin is nonstandard, appealing and very original, but Goemon really drops the ball in thaht regard.

Jesus, Goemon's my least fav by far, but he's not that bad. Hell, the Part 1 episodes with him and Lupin were some of the best. Pic related is easily one of the best scenes
