Art started looking pretty rushed the last couple of volumes though.

The anime original ending we got of S2 is good enough, there isn't a well thought out final arc in Sidonia.
Personally I was expecting more, and didn't feel like charging gravity emitters was going to be the way to win the war in a final stand off.

How did you guys envision the ending?

Season 2 to this show was so goddamn disappointing. There were like two interesting parts up to the last 1.5 episodes(which was the only really good part).
