In both games Monokuma talks to us personally during the theaters. He does this because he knows we are on his side. I mean, what kind of sick people want to play a game that involves a bunch of high schools being forced to kill each other? We are playing them because we enjoy despair. Junko has only been trying to impress us, her real audience, this entire time.

Mirai-hen is an anime created by the animator. He's also Kodaka's self-insert. He's creating this anime for us so we have one last bit of despair.

In the next episodes animator is going to be revealed as the traitor. Then the entire DR cast is going to find their lives are a lie because this entire thing has been an anime. They're not real at all.
