I got all giddy when Captain Tsubasa showed up at Rio's closing ceremony.
The series has been ignored for the last decade, even though the manga is still running, now in Grand Jump.
People like to meme Yoichi Takahashi's art, but I think it looks good in motion.

Back in the 90s and early 2000s, "real sport" fags were complaining about how Captain Tsubasa and Prince of Tennis were too unrealistic. I mean, it's still pretty unrealistic, sans the extra special effects from Inazuma Eleven though.
I'd like to see Captain Tsubasa get a new anime, then everyone will know where the true original bullshit comes from.
