The fact that the author has the MC immediately get the confession out with no way for Shizuku to misinterpret it when he could've stretched it out over a course of filler first gives the idea that it won't go like other harems some credibility. People were saying last week that Reiji wouldn't be able to confess at all but they were proven wrong this week.
