I'll answer the second part in spoilers, read at your own risk.
Buddha isn't referring to reincarnation, but rather to awakening the 8th sense that allows to live past death. Also, Hades has more or less created hell and with it, a system that punishes humans for their sins after they have died. Supposedly, when he is finally killed at the end of the series, the souls of humans are finally allowed to reach nirvana and rest in peace after death.

The contradiction is not Buddha and Hades, since Buddha regularly talked to other gods. In fact that is really cool that they did that.
