Am I the only one who likes Ritsu? Putting his edge aside (it's only in this arc and he's freaking 13 after all), I actually like his characted.

I like how him wanting to have powers is not because of jealousy or because he wants to be "cool", but because he's actually afraid of Mob and wants to protect himself from him. He also changes after that and Shou also adds some foreshadowing with the possible Mob vs Ritsu confrontation. I think he has a lot of potential.

The edge is one of the main reasons I loved his arc actually. On top of being very entertaining in its own right (for someone like myself who has a very soft spot for angsty teenagers), it seems like ONE knows exactly what it is (or what is was) like for a kid entering teenagehood to deal with more or less serious identity issues.
There's a lot of self-aware humour here and there, but the author never completely takes the piss off Ritsu, either: he just allows his character to evolve and naturally let his encounters and experiences teach him valuable lessons.
It can be cringy, funny, pathetic, irritating, shocking or touching, but that's what makes it genuine imo.

Yeah, it's an interview with Tachikawa, Kameda, and Yoda Nobutaka from 10Gauge. They are talking about the PV and the opening animation.
Yoda is the one assembled all the images and created the final product we have been seeing.

I can't do translations very well so this is a really rough summary of what they are saying:

Yoda talks about how the producers approached 10Gauge to make a PV for MP100. Yoda looked for inspiration and saw the PV for volume3 of the manga made by Kenja and was very impressed. 10Gauge never worked on anime before, so it was a valuable experience.

Now they talk about the animation for the opening:

Tachikawa decided to ask 10Gauge again. He wanted the animation to look like a really colorful "collage" of lots of images. He provided Yoda with loads of ingredients, and Yoda assembled them freely to make the animation. The animators seemed to have had a lot of fun drawing the images.

Kameda is, as Sato Miyo noted, really particular about the HANDS of the characters in MP100. He draws very fleshy hands, and he saw that his drawing style matches ONE's manga. This led to the "eye catch" having hand motions.

The green and pink buildings in the first scene was hand-drawn by Kameda. He used marker pens in four colors.

The part where Mob looks like a maze was Tachikawa's idea. He got this idea from his kid's maze book.

Tachikawa decided not to put in any battle scenes, against the norm.
