Anyone out here willing to TL the last volume of 14 sai no koi? The previous translator throw a bitch fit, and yen press don't even have it on the agenda for the next 5 months, and that's at the very least.

There's some cute-ass shit happening in there, unbeknownst to anyone.

>>
>>146391574
Cleaning has a bunch of guides, just look one up and find the one you like best. For redrawing it's better if you have someone show you the ropes. Typesetting is RHS guide+ FWPA font guides.

Can anyone assist me in getting scans from Animatebookstore?
I was told by someone here to use nwjs and tiebaManga_downloader_alpha.nw , saying that that worked there even though it wasn't made for the site. I'm able to rip previews, but not whole manga. The same link that shows previews is used to show the full manga once purchased.

How do I get around this? Should I just use something else altogether? Is there perhaps a script or something I can use?
>>
>>146393498
Updated OMD works for EBJ but it's not being posted publicly. If you want something cheap, Rakuten is still giving 550 yen coupons for new users for a few days and that's easy to rip.
>>
>>146393498
The pastebin script worked for me some days ago. If they haven't changes anything since then it's still working.

I dunno how to completely automate it, but you can simply write a small screen cap script for AutoIt.
For your example, you simply open the Web Development Tools (Ctrl+Shift+I) in Firefox and switch to the Network tab.
You open a link formatted like this in a new tab: content.js?dmytime=717584
In there you will find parts of the links that it is actually downloading in your tool and also the original resolution like this: orgwidth=\"844\" orgheight=\"1200\"
Now you simply open Responsive Design View (Ctrl+Shift+M) in Firefox, input your resolution and use its integrated screen capping function.

Another method is to rewrite the pastebin tool for EBJ since it's structured the same way. You simply need it to dump the selected canvas over here.

>>
>>146393517
You don't learn per se. You start with the cloning tool. Figure out what *you* can do with it. Figure out what you can't. Play with pens and pencils in PS until you think what you've done is good enough. This can mean five, ten, twenty, a hundred attempts before you get it right. But eventually you get what you want, and then your brain will know how to repeat the processes for the next redraw. Something can't be solved with conventional means? If you figure it out a way to do it yourself, you'll never forget it.

Best way to tell if you go to far is generally grays. look at the blush if that version and the others. you lose a ton of it. As a time saver also put leveling on separate layers if you're not sure on if you went to far or not. It makes it easier to adjust later.

Good thing this got brought up, because I've been meaning to ask: is there something like >>146416671 for non-H material? There seems to be a ton of people doing commissioned work and no frame of reference to compare them. The quality is all over the place.
>>
>>146433555
Honestly don't use a chart someone provides from here, it's circle jerking at best. The best way to get a commission to to find out how good the translators actually are or you'll end up with a meme translation
>>
>>146433555
I think most H groups would do non-H commissions happily, why wouldn't they unless it's some over-the-top bullshit like moyashimon which you need a textbook for. I know of at least one group that has. As for quality you better just check their releases and judge.
>>

Why? The dialogue is usually simpler than your normal non-hentai manga so checking is easy. The real problem is you don't know how good their non-h moon is.

I didn't have a fucking clue that like half the pages in chapter 3 would have SFX and dialog outside the text boxes though, since the first 2 chapterbarely had any of that, which is taking me fucking forever to do.

For hentai works, yes, the hentai scene has a lot of commission work. Non-hentai stuff isn't usually commissioned and non-hentai groups usually just do stuff as a hobby, but some take commissions and some, if not most, hentai groups will happily do non-H.
>How would I go about that?
Easiest is probably to hit up some H groups since they actively do shit for cash, usually you tell them what you want done and they name a price, shop around if you want, check the quality of what they've done.

>If you like to continue doing more Takabatake Enaga after this,i would love to give you stuff to typeset with
I don't have any intention of doing that, sorry. As Is I barely had time for this and I bit off a bit more then I could chew. I'm only working on this because I really enjoyed reading the first 2 chapters and wanted to read the end.

>>
>>146435642
>>146435472
My reply got cut off as I was typing it:

What's a typical rate for that, then? Really, I don't need stuff translated/edited so much as I want better quality raws for this one series in particular: The last 150 chapters or so of the series has great scan quality at a good resolution, but the first 200 isn't and i'd really love for those pages to be redone at the same quality as the rest.

I can do the editing and stuff myself, I just need the pages rescanned at a bettter resolution and the raws given to me.

>>146435708
Given that i'm talking about thousands of pages here, that's obviously too expensive for me. Would the fact I don't need typsetting/editing done and I just need the scans made raw reduce the price by a substantial degree?

>>146435708
>Example 30 page doujin x $3.00 per page = $90

>>

$0.70 - $1.00 seems the norm for simplier scripts, if it's not too wordy. Get your wallet out nigger.

>>146435771
If it's a normal doujin you can have it for like $1.50 or thereabouts usually from the cheapest somewhat-trustworthy longtimers, $3.00 would be for the bad shit.
>>
>>146435893
>$0.70 - $1.00 seems the norm for simplier scripts, if it's not too wordy.

Again, I don't even need that done, I just need better raw scans.

Though thinking about it, that's a dumb quesion because the creation of new raw scans would require them buying the volumes, so that'd actually be MORE, not less expensive.

>>146444029
I'm new to this, but based on my experience editing what i'm doing, i'd say yes. In theory, if it's just putting in text and doing occasional cleanup, anybody with even a basic level of image editing skill can do it, but you'll run into at least a few panels where the japanese text isn't in a speech bubble and you actually have to redraw art.
>>
>>146444029
Yes, more than translators from my experience.
I'm not much experienced (actually started upping my moonskills about 5 months ago) and on my crappy level I can translate 20ish pages of medium to heavy text in about an hour, maybe an hour and half if I need to google some unknown expression or w/e.

And since I edit stuff myself, I take about 8h~ to edit those said 20ish pages, minor redraws included, or 2 days with huge redraws, and I'd say I have about average experienced with editing.

So yeah, if you have a translator who only wants to translate, he could get like 3~4 chapters done pretty quick (much more if he's better than me) and you'd need a lot more editing work...

Just figure out what lines connect where and make up the rest with some curves or whatever. If you can't tell what it is, chances are readers aren't going to be able to either. Enaga's stuff usually isn't very hard to redraw, I've only had issues with one or two pages so far.

Literally the only reason to typeset sfx is to give readers an experience as close as possible to reading the original Japanese, so if you're going to mess up all the fonts then you're just wasting your time.

Sorry, I was kinda gaming...
I'd say to just draw whatever it looks like to you. If it looks like SOMETHING to you, then it LOOKS like something to anyone else.

This is what it looked like to me.
And yeah, I didn't finish correcting the patterns, I hate uneven patterns...

And like what they were saying about matching fonts and what not, I'd suggest not redrawing SFX at all.
Just write in the most look alike font you can find near it in the same style, it looks much better, it's easier, and you don't mess the original art as well.
For reference, check any book released from FAKKU. Their editing work is very good and it looks clean.

Most of the time people redraw and translate SFX it just... doesn't match well as the original. So, basically, it looks like an amateurish job, of course, only if someone were to do the same work as the original artist to get it to match perfectly, and that's why I'd suggest to avoid it.

Download Fiddler2, use the proxy, visit the gallery, see requests

or

Download RefControl, set http://raw.senmanga.com/viewer as the custom referer for raw.senmanga.com, now you can access images directly, ex. http://raw.senmanga.com/viewer/Days/101/1, http://raw.senmanga.com/viewer/Tokyo-Ghoul:RE/89/1, etc

Basically you enter a gallery and add "/viewer/" between raw.senmanga.com and series name
