You need a shitton of food to build muscles. I used to be a 40kg skeleton who ate about 800 calories a day, now I'm at 65kg and eat 3500 calories daily without consuming too much sugar.

Just set a goal and try to keep track of your intake by writing down every meal. After a week or two you will be more conscious about your meals and don't have to keep writing logs. And just take it slow so your body can adjust nicely.

Converse with some people there, get some help. If there's one thing built guys like, it's helping other guys get started with what's essentially their entire life.

I got up to 50kg/110lbs from 45kg/98lbs recently but it seems to have stopped there.
Lifts seems to be going up slowly but my wrists are starting to hurt when I'm going for anything above 6kg/13lbs of dumbbells for bicep curls, it's 10x worse with barbells.
I have 13cm/5' wrists, it's literally thinner than a penis.

Try reverse-grip benchpress, it's easier on your wrists and shoulders. You could also do farmers walk and pullups to increase your grip strength. Unless you have had any wrist injuries it shouldn't hurt with those baby weights, so you should also look into your form. Just ask the biggest guy in the gym if you are doing an exercise right, they will be happy to help you.
