Even though many would say nidame was a mistake, it's really just the last handful of chapters that really didn't sit well with me.
This finale wasn't much different, pretty weak way to end.

Technically there is no actual confirmation that the characters & world are one in the same though the similarities are ridiculous close.

Names are never mentioned and the author has claimed there were no connections between the two series, though probably did so jokingly or to sidestep licensing details because both are from different magazines.

Had no clue this series was going on all these years when I remember the anime like eons ago.

The author kinda shot himself in the foot, when he made Spotted Flower and proceeded to put all the fun developments in there (or the results thereof). What we actually got in Nidaime felt tedious by comparison and like being given a middle finger by the author, while SF danced around it with a "lol, you can't have" sign around its neck.

The point of the manga was that Madarame is fucking shit and a coward.He never got over his issues. His dating Sue thing will crash with no survivors.

While I like Sue, the whole outcome feels kinda shitty. Madarame was more or less pressured into this confession and all the other characters came off as meddlesome bitches that should have been told off at various points in the story, to go deal with their own issues instead of shitting their opinions all over one guy who can't get a break..

To be honest at this point I wouldn't mind a gay ending. Sue was always bad.

All of these posts kind of convey exactly how stupid it was to have that harem event and have it fizz out into nothing.
Plus Kio spent a hell of a lot of time fleshing out Hato to have him turn out useless.
Madaramebowl should have hype as fuck but I read through it only to get it over. Towards the end the only part I liked wsa the Saki fake pregnancy gag.
I probably shouldnt be complaining like this but this series should have been put down early it; only served to irritate me.
