BnHA is pretty short at the moment, so in this specific case I'll take a new season every 3 or so cours, which is probably about what we'll get.

The same happened with Attack on Titan, despite being extremely successful they decided to wait a few years for more source material instead of filler hell a la Naruto.

It's not as good/new/fresh or whatever you want to call it. It doesn't guarantee a long-running anime.

Studios won't risk it because of "the next big thing" because nowadays it's just really fucking hard.

No series will hit it big like Naruto and One Piece did back then ever again. The anime doesn't guarantee money like those kind of series, so shueisha just orders short seasons instead to just keep the manga afloat, it's nothing compared to the money big series do but at least they sell tanks.

You know if I think about it I kind of actually wish Hero Academia did have filler. When I read the manga I sometimes just want to know what the world is like, I want to see the cool shopping mall with hero gadgets, I want to see the training camp, but I'm always getting cockblocked by some villains showing up to start a big fight.

One Piece shouldn't even have an ongoing series if that's how TOEI is going to animate it. I would rather it gets arcs that last 1-2 cours. Then they could actually put some effort into them, like they do with the movies.

I loved the One Piece anime.

Then it got to Amazon island and holy shit the quality went straight to hell and never recovered. It was probably bad before then, but anime-only me never noticed.

Anyway, seasonal animes are fine, it just means we get just filler (which is a shame for Boku since it could actually use some given its speed).

Where does something like the newest adaptation of Hunter x Hunter fit into this equation?

I'd rather not have >filler every other post concerning the anime.
