Mary Sue syndrome gets far worse. Kirito accomplishes everything important, but all in all there aren't many "look how completely perfect he is compared to everyone else" moments. I liked SAO because it combines the awesome and the creepy implications of what VR could do.

I find it unwatchable.

The scenes are weirdly edited and the story never quite makes sense most of the time. The premise makes the show appear to be a desperate struggle to survive yet 70% of the show is dicking around and waifubait.

The main story also feels so fucking rushed when its present, saying time has passed to the audience does not equal a lengthy story.

All the cast essentially do is fuck up a boss then suddenly finish the game by defeating the admin in a style that feels like a complete shortcut to what was suppose to happen.

I never understood the hate for this series? Granted my exposure to it is purely the Vita/PS4 games, but I played through both ones we got here in the US and they're both enjoyable. The characters are completely inoffensive. What's the problem?
