It was people like Floki who got Hild's family murdered. Hell, he could be held directly responsible for it, for Thorfinn wouldn't have got on Askeladd's party without Floki's schemes, and he wouldn't have become such an angsty kid either. Holding Thorfinn responsible in the same degree as Floki is bullshit. Killing Floki now would only do good for all parties, but Hild is being a cunt about it.

I'm hoping that the next chapter is going to go for the obvious counter, that being that not enough deserves forgiveness equally and that Floki is still being a murderous snake rather than trying to change like Thorfinn. Of course, Hild could reasonably respond with "Then why weren't you going to do anything about him being a murderous snake until you found out he'd killed your father?" but I'm hoping we can just gloss over that.
