Key hasn't lost the charm, you just have grown up to be pessimist. not the teenager that consumed cute stories about love way back. There isn't a significant difference in Key quality. Anime adaptions have always been bad and games have been either hit or miss.

Actually no. Manga was based mostly on "After" scenario with adding few things from "Wafter". And everything mixed together. Similarly like all age version of VN, that is named "Converted Edition" for reason.

Sorry never had any chasrm. KyoAni adaptations popularized their shit VNs but also made them 100 times better. Any other studio has made mediocre to bad keyshit adaptations, because that's how they made.

Still, Tomoyo After had at least had some deeper story overall. Kud Wafter was more or less nukige, that had some serious maybe at very end of each scenario, otherwise it was just Riki and Kud doing cute stuff at day, and lewd stuff at night.

Nasu H scenes are at least fun to read. Key H scenes (not counting Kud Wafter) are mostly about nothing. They usually have even poor CG portrayal.

So I'm just sitting here and wondering why you would go to lengths to assume people dislike Key because they feature romance. I'm not exactly a Key hater as I like some of the novels, but admittedly they have some pretty horrible turd in them.
