Yokai Watch is grasping to stay relevant now and finding places to plaster it's product on so it doesn't die off. Probably had to really push for a spot and offered to do anything to have it done. Pokemon's IP can be tight and strict too, so that could have lead to an product placement agreement not being made. It's too be expected because having the mascot or very title itself on something is likely to gain it shitons of attention and make people tightwads toward whoever asks to use it.
