I think that the ending was fucking awful for both the anime and manga and best girl died in such a shit way that I had to force myself to read the remaining 5 volumes. Wasted potential.

The ending for the anime was good but the ending for the manga was pretty ass.

it was fun and better than shit like naruto and bleach but it wasn't great either

It had glimpses of great things, like the piano playing and motif of madness.
It didn't turn out as great as we all imagined still the designs were refreshing, maka cute and soul cool.

It had the possibility of being so much more. The madness shtick was done really well for the first half and then it just turned into dogshit.

I enjoyed it, mostly on the strength of the unique aesthetic and macabre humor. It was sort of like what you'd get if you put Tim Burton in charge of Bleach.

Didn't wrap up particularly well in either the TV show or the manga, but it was a fun ride.
