I congratulate them on not changing UDGs at all, despite the fact this latter game is by far more troubling in terms of things that to the western eye would need censoring. And i can't help but wonder if it's just that spike chunsoft got word their games were being treated shit and decided to set up some rules.

All in all I'm happy there weren't no major changes in these games, but i was hoping there wouldn't be any technical problems either, most of these being in the form of text boxes not disappearing, japanese lines popping up on more than one occasion through the game and ultimately there's the grammar problems too, which you wouldn't expect from a professional establishment.

The game on its own is still pretty seller and absolutely worth experiencing, I enjoyed my time with it a lot. With that said it's disappointing to see Monacas turn into a fucking space neet.

I feel as if people are being too harsh on it just because it wasn't SUPER SPECIAL ULTRA important to DR3 like many claimed it would be. As its own experience I had a bunch of fun.

I'm not sure if they were necessarily "final thoughts". They seemed to be just major attributes to each character thrown around in a glitch, some of which might've been relevant to their deaths (like Mikan's).

For example, Nidai was yelling about SHIT/doing "it". Peko's was a garble of JP emoticons/JUSTICE (she was faking the Justice role, not actually mental). Saionji was thinking about squishing ants. Teruteru's was a mix of "kaa-chan" and "what happened to the diner", which he might've been thinking at any time.

But what if I enjoyed UDG a whole bunch regardless of its importance to DR3? Not saying that I think how things turned out, I'm glad that they closed off Monacas story and gave us a bunch of Komaru being badass fan service scenes.

With that said the people thinking Monaca would be THE mastermind are retarded, and the people who watched a shitty letsplay of the game are also fucking stupid since you're not really going to enjoy it that way at all. Plus it does have a lot to offer for the franchise such as making Toko not a fucking awful character, showing what the despairs did to the world (Seriously it was great for worldbuilding) and giving us information on what happened to the of the first games cast.

It should be viewed as a fun addition to the series and certainly one worth experiencing.

The DR1 survivors are important but how abput DR1 the game? You just need to know the survivors, the mastermind, and that the world is fucked and everything else in the game is mostly irrelevant, because it was a focused game and wasn't concerned in building an overarching series narrative.

But it is actually important in terms of the plot. Well, maybe not that much but it did introduce Monaca as a character as well as an handful more character that you wouldn't have ever seen until the anime where you'd just have them popping out of nowhere without knowing their backstories.

These characters, being still alive, could mix well with the franchise and play an important role later on so it might be of some use to know who they are to some degree.

I also enjoyed the different take on the franchise itself, the fight-oriented gameplay really did keep me entertained and i loved the puzzle games as well. Not to mention the fact that the design of the menu as well as that of the weapons is pretty neat and falls in line with danganronpa has been
