Both Urusei Yatsura and Ranma are episodic comedies with very little continuity. Even then, Urusei Yatsura has single episodes with more character development than Ranma does in 161. To suggest Ranma has a more "interesting" plot based on nothing other than fights is as stupid as it gets.
