I'm currently rereading Bleach. The earliest evidence showing that Kubo was just making shit up as he went along was with Uryuu who criticizes Ichigo for being shit at sensing his spiritual power. Earlier on in the series, Rukia is extremely impressed by Ichigo's spirit sense as he could pinpoint where a child's soul was even though it was being obscured by a parakeet's soul. But for some reason, later on, Ichigo can't even tell that Uryuu has spiritual power and not only that Ichigo needs some gadget to locate hollows while Uryuu can locate them on his own just fine.

That was a glaringly huge contradictions and this is when Kubo still gave a fuck.

Man As Nodt was one of the most terrifying villains in Bleach. Motherfucker combined The Fear and Marilyn Manson in the worst way possible and used Byakuya's own bankai to give him a beating harder than any other captain in the series ever got. Not even the worst in her series. Komamura's only real claim to fame was having to use Bankai to beat a fraccion, and even Ichigo lost CONSTANTLY after Hueco Mundo. He stood around and watched Aizen flatten the remaining Captains, got bullied by Gin for a while, failed to finish off Aizen with FGT and would have died had Urahara not out-keikaku'd Aizen, spent the FB arc losing his mind, and got his ass kicked all through the final arc.
