I've recently read the 7 first volumes, it was fun. The twins were cute to follow, and the last chapters had a strong yuri vibes in them.

The first tanks it was amira indeed, maybe the scanlator is using Amir for some reason.

I checked and in wikipedia Amira's name in Katakana (how foreign names are written when in japanese) is Amiru アミル but there's indeed a "ra" in Katakana, so it's not like Mori couldn't use it.
I'm gonna check the raws to see what's up.
Maybe it is indeed "ru" and Mori prefers it because in her head the intonation is closer than using ra (ru is soft, basically just an r, while the a can be heard in ra).

If it's ru, I'd still argue that it has to be Amira, but the translator is doing it literal and muting the u (as is common).

This arc has totally reminded me of why tsunderes got popular in the first place. They're so cute when they're not overblown.

Not a muslim, but some things first:
Each has it's own customs, but early marriage is common around most of the world in less developed areas because work is divided across all the family members.
Agriculture, hunting, herding, crafting, etc. all take insane amounts of time and cannot be done by a small number of people.
So having a family from early helps divide work and provide more.

Now in the case of MC, Amira took too long to marry (and still no kids), so finding a suitor was more of a case of who was willing. Karluk the MC and the family agreed to marry her, there was a connection from long time ago between tribes through the Grandma, who came from Amira's or so I remember. So the marriage was probably done to 1. marry her finally 2. maintain the, thin already, bonds that could break if the Grandma dies.

It's not unusual to marry boys young, but usually waiting until they develop more or at least them being the age or older than the bride is considered the norm.

Marrying young and growing in the family until you have enough funds to have your own place seems to be the norm here too. Karluk's brother seems to be 20ish and he has kids, so he also probably married around 15 yo.

I don't hate Yuri-arc but I found it too weird and somewhat out of place, even both girl's designs are somewhat weird. "Girls love"(as oppose to straight lesbianism) for me is rather an otaku culture, and therefore require bit of disbelieving suspension which was different from rest of this series(while somewhat rose-color view, was still adherent to realistic culture and setting).
Worst arc is probably Smith's though. I felt like everyone from the girl 's mother to MC's group kind of force him to take the poor girl's hand but when he finally agree those supporters just abandon him when the step-father reject it. It was both brutal and pointless.

Marriage was more of a means of survival and necessity.
