The way I'd describe it after this revelation is like this: Senku is an iai skill that overdrives the activation of Kogetsu to extend its range.
If Kogetsu can only maintain a certain amount of trion in its form, the excess causes it to explode out of its sheath, and the faster you can supply trion, the faster the draw and higher the range. I'm sure it would take some amount of finesse to be able to keep the trigger in your grip while doing this.

Oh I completely agree with that, but I think he should do other stuff to show them getting good, like actively participating in the previous invasion(I hope they get to fight in the next one).

I don't mind the slow pace, what I mind is that he chooses to make rank wars the only way of presenting the story.

Also I still enjoy the manga, it's not that I fucking hate the wars, It's just that I want something different.

Doing those things in a story focused arc is hard but can be done, Daisuke is doing it all now because it is easier to understand in a more calm setting

Yes, it has a slow start but it's really good.

And it's different from those 3, battles are focused on strategy and teamwork.

The slow start is because the first 15 or so chapters are focused on world building and character introduction, there are some battles but it's nothing super big, I actually liked the start by the way, some people just find it well... slow.
