It's difficult to accurately pinpoint when the purge took place, but Yhwach was definitely leading the Quincies when Yamamoto and the Shinigami slaughtered most of them

Yhwach was being cryptic and speaking figuratively but yes the Quincy blood of Yhwach does flow through their veins, thanks to a ritual in which Quincy candidates drink Yhwach's blood, which becomes part of them and awakens their powers (see Uryuu's induction ceremony). The blood remains and is passed on to their kin, so Yhwach is kinda their surrogate father.

It's more that Aizen can't stand the state of the world and the laws upheld by Soul Society, and the Soul King just so happens to represent all the bullshit, corruption and hypocrisy of Seireitei and Central 46. That's exactly what happened. Isshin mentioned it was a large majority and not all of them, and that it was the strong and/or pure blooded quincies that were spared while the weak and/or impure ones were purged. Katagiri was weak AND impure so she died, and Masaki had sullied her blood and betrayed the Quincies through her relationship with Isshin so she lost her powers and was killed by Grand Fisher

I think it's because a majority of people simply got used to the idea that a good number of questions would never be answered.

Admitted Ichihime fag here; let's just say that that this series has been apart of my life for so long, I just wanted and ending--good or bad.

After years of suffering abuse on /a/ and pretty much being the only genuine hime-fan from the very beginning obviously I wasn't the only one but you really couldn't tell if you looked at threads like 5/6 years back or so this is like a dream come true.

The amount of salt is literally monumental. Ichiruki people turned Bleach from just another manga into a phenomenon: the series eventually became just fluff for the ending.

The world needed this ending

you could call Naruto's ending from a million miles away, but Bleach was, and still may possibly be, anyone's game.

Well lets think for a sec: the Soul King is basically a husk that everyone is expected to obey. He hates everything about Soul Society. Central 46, Seireitei, and especially such a dead God as the Soul King. He says "No one stands in the Heavens. Not even God. From now on though, I will stand in the heavens." I like to think that Aizen thought that the Soul King was a pathetic God and he had the right and power to be a greater God.

Urahara on the other hand has a more "That's just the way things are" attitude, which Aizen hates Urahara for with his "THAT IS THE LOGIC OF A LOSER!" line.
