I stopped reading the manga right after the tower of conviction for about a year or 2 (dunno for sure) and picked it up again recently from where I left off. I'm now up to date.

I love Berserk. I own the first anime series on DVD, I'm up to date on the manga and I tried to watch Berserk 2016. I tried but it fucking killed me inside after two episodes.

I watched the entire first season of Sailor Moon Crystal but I couldn't stand just two episodes of Berserk 2016 it was so bad.

I'll just read the manga from now on and I will never trust anything Berserk that's animated ever again.
