I want to get rid of my detolf because I never bothered putting lighting on it which makes it look terrible most of the time and it's too big for the amount of figures I have. (Two scales, two nendos, ten prize figures and four 1/144 gundams, and even then I've never had all of them displayed at once) What's a good alternative that I can also put nice lighting on? I have some of those wire shelves like in pic related but I'm not sure what the best way would be to turn them into something nice for my modest amount of figures. I'd like to avoid buying new furniture if I can help it, because I move once or twice a year.

I only emphasize the need for lighting because I only have three lamps in my apartment and it's usually pretty dark in here.

She's not the last figure I'm receiving anytime soon, I've got more that are being shipped (just very slowly), but she's the last one I'm buying for a while.

I'd like to say I'm trying to be financially responsible by holding off on any more orders, but the honest truth is that I just need to find a way to display my collection. When I started off with a single prize fig (which I had for a year before really starting to build a collection in the last few weeks) having a place to display my (1 fig) collection was easy. Well that's the case with nearly everything. However it's not always the case that the artist wants figures of their own creation. Pretty sure the entire reason that the trading figures were made was because the staff themselves wanted something tangible like that for their popular work. I doubt they knew whether it would be profitable or not and just took a chance. When no one buys them, then they obviously won't take more chances.

In this business surprisingly small number of sales would be enough to generate a profit. Like 3 digits.

Got this little demon today. I was a bit worried since I got her from Manda with "severe discoloration" on the box, so I was concerned she had spent time in the sun. But the figure itself is in perfect condition, and surprisingly wasn't even sticky despite spending 5 years in the box.

However getting one of her backpack straps into its peg hole was a bit of a problem. I had to apply more pressure than I was comfortable with (I was extremely concerned about breaking the piece, since it's very thin), and it still didn't go quite all the way in. It might be because the plastic is a little old and has lost some of its flexibility.

Either way she looks great, so I'm really happy about this purchase.

Yeah, the back of the box is clearly discolored. I don't know if I'd call it "severe", but it's easy to notice. Thing is, it's only that side and the discoloration is very very uniform. It doesn't look like sun damage. I suspect it might have been a manufacturing issue.
