Well, there were plenty of romantic development of Naoya with Lotte, of the kind that if she was older there is no way anyone could doubt that they would not ending up together, after all even the author stated that this is what she was aiming for since the beggining. The ending was really nice and unique, since a fullfiling lolicon romance is so rare. I'm a fan of the author being so brave to go through with a happy romantic taboo ending this way, she even went against her editor and all.

I do understand your feelings though, since like many I didn't like the ending in Usagi Drop as well. But I'l probably forever defend the ending in Lotte no Omocha forever.
