Not very good. Tried to implement too many themes at once, but didn't handle most of them well.

Kumatetsu turning into the sword in MC's heart was a fucking cheap way of solving MC's dilemma of choosing one of the two worlds.

It's okay. Like all of Hosoda's works, the storytelling can be clumsy at times. There's nothing remarkable about the visual narrative. It just does what it needs. Just another family movie to pass the time.
