Mob is better than OPM at the start, but OPM has maintained the quality throughout whereas Mob kind of shat the bed for a while with the second Claw arc.

Overall they're about the same in quality, they just have different focus. Mob is certainly worthy of being better if that's what you feel.

I just wanted that Bones had had the same commitment with BnHA. In commercial terms, they wasted a great chance. I mean, Mob is sensational, and they probably used the entire budget to focus on this work in 2016 due to the success of OPM, but when it comes to the general public, the show clearly doesn't have much appeal.

This episode was perfect, better than what I was expecting. Man, I was so happy to see Teru scream like that. And the ost made the suffering even better.

10/10 I want to watch it again.

Who cares about that, they just love the manga and saw the potential and gave it their all. Boku no hero is just generic shonen with nothing special to it. It just feels like a manufactured manga made to be popular and you feel it when reading.

I had a large interest in reading Mob before OPM got an anime, but I never really followed up on it. Then I saw one of those animated promos for Mob and I knew that I wanted to wait for an anime to come out before spoiling myself on the story.

Do you think it might be a good idea to start reading now? I want to see more, but I'm afraid my interest in the anime will die if I keep reading spoilers from the manga.

I kinda agree with the first guy, even though I like bnha. The character designs are all very cool, but the show is still shounen-like, even with things done less tediously. The superhero aspect makes it a little more fresh, but most of the archetypes are still the same. See: forward-facing protag, angry rival, nice girl, etc. I like how the author went around making the characters act realistically to these archetypes, but it still is a shounen when you really look at it.

It being a shonen is not bad, Mob Psycho is also one more or less. But the way its done just feels to much going by the book. He trys to please everyone, and i think its due to his editor at WSJ, they know how to make popular series but also how to make them generic as fuck. Read the BnHA One Shot, even that has a better vibe to it.

Everything is truem, OPM had a low budget. It was due to the connections Shingo natsume made during his time with space dandy that he could fill OPM with that much Sakuga. Bones Boss said they wanted to outperform him with Mob Psycho and for now it looks like they are on track.
