Hori probably has ideas in his head for dozens of characters and gets to choose the best ones, so I very much doubt he will disappoint when someone new appears. Up until now, he has handled his cast well.

Plus, for now, those guys are just the tournament competition, with the overly hyper guy being set up as a rival for Todoroki (or possibly Bakugo?).

Base strength All-Might would be a god-tier sidekick for Deku.

I like HeroAca and OPM but Japanese people just can't design super-hero costumes. The characters in both look like more like wrestlers than like super-heroes. They lack the iconic simplicity of the best designs like Spiderman or Batman.

Both. He can use digital but most manga still use traditional inking and the like. You can see both.

He's a photoshop user for his colors...which while they look good when he paints, kinda get turned to mush in print. He's definitely 100% self-trained as an artist- which is good and bad.

Art schools are a waste of money but learning how to properly flat and do CYMK for printed media is really useful. You can tell who knows how to do that and who doesn't when you see their printed color material.

The UA internal competition is pretty friendly- you don't get expelled competing with eachother outside of Aizawa's bullshit at the start of the year. Now he can actively fight others with something real on the line (their licenses) rather than kinda nebulously useful stuff like endorsements.

It is nice how he seems to have thought out most if not all the costume designs. Given them all practical things.

Like Todo's suit apparently has cooling and heating stuff in it to control his body temperature. And the black one is the 2.0 version. The white one just had heating to counteract his ice powers since he was refusing to use his fire powers, while his black one has both.

And Uraraka's suit has multiple spots that press down pressure points to help combat nausea so she can use her powers more.

A lot of students aren't even close to final designs, so a lot of criticism isn't really warranted. Designs remind me more of X-Men than other superhero costumes.

If we're talking pro heroes, I feel like a lot of them are pretty memorable, but that's just me.
