The manga becomes more standardised in the second half. As in it has to actually wrap up all the social and romantic loose ends it created in the first half.

It's still good, but I can tell people would just want more of the same they got in Season 1. So best to leave it be.

There aren't many, but I do enjoy Fruits Basket a lot as a reverse harem.

It has a similar comfy cute vibe to ouran. But it's much more 'girly' and focuses much more on shojo tastes without the irony or sense of humor that ouran has

Maybe some more shojo adept anons can help but all the reverse harems I've found since have either been fanservice guydol type shows or love story shojos with a few potential male partners.

The live action drama is good.
Tamaki's actor doesn't look anything like him, but he's got the personality down pat.
Nekozawa is a bit more prominent, insofar as that he shows up almost every episode, and the script takes material from a bit further in the manga than the anime did.

I actually went to an art exhibit LaLa put on for their 40th anniversary and there was a huge number of original Ouran artworks there. It's still respected, but I feel we're in Spice and Wolf territory now.

For the anons asking for similar there isn't that much in the reverse harem genre that compare. I watch a lot of it and shoujo in general and the only things I can compare it to is fruits basket as another anon mentioned or shugo chara.

Unfortunately the reverse harem comedy tag is mostly garbage like dance with devils, brothers conflict and gay vampire shit. These probably aren't even in the comedy tag but they are so bad they are pretty funny sometimes.

I wish she ended up with the one twin instead of the frenchie and she just had a great friendship with him though.

Kamigami no Asobi is better than the game because the MCs tsukkomi isn't erased in favor of melodrama. The first 3 episodes can be a bore but once they actually focused on the characters it's pretty gud.

In english you won't get that much but one of Norn9 MCs is a typical bitchy tsundere and other is a Rei clone, and all of the MCs are voiced. Code: Realize MC is pretty active and develops greatly, she's able to shut the guys off saves her own ass a bunch of times.

I think it's mixed. In the event halls there's boxes for putting letters for the husbando or his VA and the VA boxes are not that full. Obviously someone will hop in because of the VAs since they were already big names in the industry.

In the end idol anime/games are about casting the right people and making the right songs. Not all of them become hits but it's difficult for them to become complete flops.
