It's out. http://mangastream.com/r/the_seven_deadly_sins/187/3592/1
I-is she kill?
>Goddesses are all cowardly backstabbing bitches
Who'd have thunk it.
>it's a good guys were the bad guys all along episode
Why have a treaty with them in the first place them?
If you sign shit then it's the good position to uphold your part of it
Also a creature can never be considered evil for acting on their natural instincts
I love how smug she looks here.
>Yeah, look at my huge tiddies I'm a big goddamn deal
>Refuses to work with the humans
>Condescendingly crushes the demons only to desperately back-peddle and bargain
It's fun how despicable the Goddess clan is so far but it's weird that the honorable old dude would put so much faith in her. I have to assume there is more to his plan. Otherwise this was just a hamfisted way to write off a character and cram some exposition into the narrative.
Can't say I didn't see this coming from the guy who made the Seven Deadly Sins good, the Holy Knights bad for most of the first arc, and are still pretty douchey in general, and the Ten Commandments the big big bads
Shouldn't they all be girl versions or will the top echelon be a bunch of buff angel dudes?
If so I desperately want one of them to be smug incarnate and have a glorious pride-off with Escanor.
Let's not hate on Nerobasta too much now. She refused the request to take on the demons, and therefore didn't backpedal. >>145377025
Nerobasta only wanted to leave, but was blocked by demons who attacked her. After she failed to defeat them, then she started trying to talk. Now the question is if the vessel is destroyed, does the goddess die?
>The future of mankind is looking bleak!!!
Yeah, no. Fuck you. You conveniently came up with some bullshit to write off Escanor for now but the fact of the matter is that he can wipe them all out with his hands tied behind his back with no effort. There is no threat as long as he's in the story.
>You conveniently came up with some bullshit to write off Escanor
This has been as aspect of his character since he first appeared in the Vampire side story. They had to knock him out with Gowther's mindfuck arrow so he wouldn't get too worked up and burn everything to the ground.
>Not even Bleach characters are this useless
how generous of you
>Soul eating monsters
Shiki apologist pls go
Not all Shiki bad. It was the Kirishikis, Gakct, and the Werewolves retarded plan that forced people into a shitty situation. Homo Natsuno became so nihilistic cause his crush killed him that he just wanred the village to burn.
The goddesses asked Ban to kill Mel. What if they were trying to purge of the commandments plaguing him instead of actually trying to get rid of him?
They must know he can be resurrected.
The Druids seem friendly enough to him, and even gave him all his demonic energy back. If these people who worship them are okay with helping him, it would be unusual for them to want to permakill Mel. There's obviously a few bad eggs among the upper echelons of the goddess clan.
>betrayed the demons
>massacred their children
What the hell.
Demons have every right to be mad as fuck.
Why four archangels and not all seven? It would be a great match for seven sins.
It has to be directed towards the commandment holder. If you hate Derriere in Estarossa's presence his commandment shouldn't activate. Merlin got stoned because she told a lie to Garan.
Incidentally, the cover for the second fanbook is out.
Meliodas is not a virgin. Why d you think Liz told him to not fondle her boobs in public? Both were living together. There is no way Meliodas is a virgin. King, Diane and Escanor and probably Merlin are virgins. Ban must have fucked Elaine at least once. Guila is probably not Gowther's first.
mel is over 3000 years old and had liz
king...well he doesnt look like the type
diane is a giant but behaves young (like 19-21) in her mind
escanor only at night but has a crush on merlin so maybe before he met her
merlin has also lived a long time; i doubt shes a virgin
ban and elaine
and gowther is an object, a doll; he could work since he doesnt have a sex and thus a virginity
Escanor was a kid when he left the kingdom and many were afraid of him. He is a virgin for sure. Gowther was a Demon and he fucked Guila, he does have a dick, which is why Meliodas covered Elizabeth's eyes when he undressed before her, also the Sin of Lust. Merlin seems to be the independent woman type, she has probably lived all this time without a lover. Diane is a virgin, she was only close to Matrona and her fat friend, after this she only opened to King and Meliodas, she wanted Mel to fuck her but he never did it.
He does have one. Plus there was a panel with he and Guila on a bed.
Depends on her reasons for wishing to stay out of an all-out battle against the Demon Clan. She didn't seem to have any problem with just seeing the regular Red and Ash Demons, but when she saw the 10 Commandments, she got pretty furious at the thought of the seal having been released.
This is making me think that the sword was like those monsters mel and king fought. Just artificial beings that the Goddess clan made just with a little bit of the creatures consciousness?
Merafags on suicide watch
Well that was beyond fucking useless.
>It's a "Fraudrin jobs" chapter
He's right though,
elves are the same thing!
>You will never have a goddess in you.
Well technically the 10 commandments were formed before the 7 deadly sins. But that would also mean that the 4 higher ranking goddesses happened after the 7 deadlies which isn't the case. Point is I'm hungover and can't into math.
Was this really Denzel's plan? Just hope the godess wins? Did he not know how strong she was?
Or, did he know she would be beaten? Because if he did then i wonder if this will force the goddesses into action.
>Also a creature can never be considered evil for acting on their natural instincts
Either you're sentient and thus you can control whatever urge you have or you're not and then you follow your instinct.
Demons in this seems sentient since they can speak, have feeling and even make trety but they treat humans like cattle so they are very much evil.
What >>145379692 said.
Only angel and archangel looks human, anything ranked higher doesn't look human according to the book of enoch.
However an angel can be promoted, for exemple Michael was an archangel who got promoted to seraph after Lucifer's fall because despite being an angel of the second lowest rank he fought the hardest.
>turns out the titty goddess was just a foot soldier
Will goddesses become more surreal looking the stronger they get?
After all the masked one from the flashback was actually dangerous to young estarossa
I think that four archangels will be males.
>How is the strong dominating the weak in any way evil?
Hello /pol/, now get out.
>It's not like we see them torturing humans just for the sake of it
>Literally eating people's souls as snacks without even having the necessity to eat
It's the opposite. Derrierie will die and Monspiet will wreck everything. Remember that he is the one Meliodas wanted to avoid the most. Something bad will happen when he will lose his waifu.
>muh favourite characters should not die because reasons.
Face it, demons are assholes. Even if they have reasons to hate godessess, they kill humans left and right.
Melodias said there no commandment is allowed to survive.
Once you introduce the concept of sentience, stuff like morals appear.
The strong dominating the weak is not evil if no one is sentient because the very concept of morals and thus of good and evil doesn't exist.
However in this case everyone is sentient, even the fucking pig, thus morals apply.
And even demons have morals, Melodias' big bro was going to kill Merascylla if Ban didn't because he did not want Mera to eat Melodia's soul.
>being good guys in anime and manga
Did you think it would end if Bleach ended?
It's meant to show us how the dynamic works.
Denzel put all his faith in the goddesses, but he really only had a low rank angel after all.
And her first response was confusion that the 10 commandments were even around, meaning prayers to the goddesses are likely pointless/there's no way for the humans to communicate this shit to them.
Then we got a bit of power showing from the weak ass angel, foreshadowing of strong angels that will likely show up, and some more reasoning for the demon clan's actions.
We basically set up for all the future goddess clan shit without giving the demons yet another loss.
Besides, it's obvious that something will happen so fraudrin and the demons don't kill EVERYONE.
Just the King. Cause he was totally seeing his own death right there.
Betting his last lines will be a final prediction to the demons about them getting fucked up by the sins
>Monspiet will wreck everything. Remember that he is the one Meliodas wanted to avoid the most
when did this happen? I just remember Mel not wanting to counter vanish the hell bird to give away his identity.
>when did this happen?
Not him but Mel did state that Monspiet was the last person he wanted sensing thier powers right before Mon shot the giant fire bird.
Mel was probably talking about Monspiets super long range hacks rather then him actually being like super strong.
>clearly ranked higher than a foot soldier
>she's a corporal i.e. the lowest ranking officer in many country.
if we are to trust NiggerStream, she's a lance corporal, which is the next to bottom rung of enlisted ranks, inbetween a private and a corporal, thus below sergeant and all commissioned officer positions from lieutenant on up.
I think the points are supposed to be that
by goddess army standards, Nerobasta is still a scrub:
lower-level goddess are still strong enough to one-shot grey demons like scrubs:
and that she's arrogant as shit but still scared out of her mind by the 10C:
He's talking about this page where Merlin says that only the power of the goddesses can resist the commandments.
The setup is most likely that the goddesses are ridiculously strong, but the demon king by himself (or lending his strength through his subordinates) was enough to keep them all in check.
There was a prolonged stalemate until Mel, the strongest original 10C, defected possibly along with Gowther and killed another 2-3 of the commandments.
I hope Zeldris won't kill the turned humans, I want the best knight to live.
No, they're not. Goddesses decided to face Demons in an all-out war only after joining forces with Meliodas and other Clans, and they still failed to eradicate the Demons for good. That should tell you enough.
>No, they're not. Goddesses decided to face Demons in an all-out war only after joining forces with Meliodas and other Clans
Didn't Estarossa say that when Mel defected that broke the stalemate, that sounds more like they were already at war and they were evenly matched.
Then they are probably a rather small Clan compared to others, with only maybe Giants being smaller thanks to their beautiful culture.
The way I understood it, there was a bad peace between them, with only small clashes occuring (if a Goddess attacking the young Estarossa is any indication). He did say that it took Meliodas's betrayal to actually start the War.
He was too straightforward for this world.
>I'll say this right from my ass. You're fucking dead
True to form, niggerstream.
So it's safe to say that NNT wont end with the Ten Commandments the real bad were the Goddess clan all along.
>incoming Goddess Arc & Sin/Commandment alliance.
>Deri for best demon waifu.
>a low tier shit ass goddess was able to hurt a commandment
>I'll grow it back later.
It's fine, she will go back to looking like Ayla from Chrono Trigger in no time.
Nah, they're still assholes who eat the souls of mortal races like popcorn.
Mel wouldn't have betrayed them unless he was the real bad guy all along as well, which seems less likely give that the horn of cernunoss or whatever was telling Ban to kill him anyway.
Muh. hope she gets rid of the short temper too
True but there's also Gowther who use to be one of them. I'm sure his memory is sealed and what not. Maybe not all the Commandments are turbo evil. Either way it wouldn't be that farfetched for characters that were straight up horrible, morally, to suddenly become pals with everyone.
kek, that remind me of pic related.
>shitty short hair
>talks from the ass
Cute? Whats wrong with you
>big tits goddess
>deceived humanity as a powerful race
>murdered demon children
>the first to break truce and started the war
>gets super angry only when facing a child killer
>shitty short hair
>it's actually quite good and detailed
>talks from the ass
>doesn't need to make 10-minutes-long speeches to make her comrade understand her perfectly
I thought the chapter was ok since it gave us a little insight to justify why the 10C are mad. Fraudrin's smug ass soured things for me desu
No translations anymore, Japanzai lost their translator or something.
I like Fraudrin, a keikaku master who isn't afraid of getting humiliated like a real loser is the best keikaku master.
Impeccable taste. Would it make you happy to know that she and the Gay Mummy are still some of the best fighters around?
She even beats Veronica a second time.
>we have been rendered impotent on the battlefield
Well fuck, Estarossa is still alive. This means Ban won't be getting a proper fight anytime soon, unless there's a range limit or something for the commandments. Or maybe Estarossa actually died but the commandment hasn't completely worn off yet. Why did Nakaba have to sideline the holy knights yet again, especially when they're finally facing the one commandment they not only have a history with but might have a chance of beating? I'm hoping Zaratras shows up, turns Griamore into an adult again and we get Fraudrin/Dreyfus vs his brother, his son, his student and his newphew.
He didn't say he was having trouble controlling Rhitta he was saying that he was so strong at the time(just before noon) that even Rhitta, which absorbs some of his power, didn't manage to hold him back. That's why he was literally melting everything around him.
>I can't think of a single manga/anime who does.
One Piece? Marines have a lot of different ranks (at least 20 I think). Not like it matters, since only admirals and fleet admiral are relevant plot-wise and power-wise.
Wouldn't that actually make it a completely useless commandment?
>thou shalt not kill me or my commandment triggers
>oh but if I die the commandment will stop affecting you
Unless the commandment is something like a suicide pact that kills the one that killed Graylord, it would literally do nothing at all.
I enjoy the fact that you can't read the chapters for free anymore (Previously you had a week to read the newest chapter), so you have to pay for translations that are barely, if at all better than MS.
Honestly, I'd take MS over them purely on the grounds that MS is not supposed to be "professional"
Read the first few and/or latest chapters and see if it clicks with you.
The best part was where MC says "you don't have the right to destroy this world" and the bad guy was like "actually I do" and proceeds to btfo Haru with historical facts.
Vice admirals matter as a good jobber material.
>Vice admiral Smoker defeated by Law and Doflamingo
>Vice admiral Vergo goes down as a hype tool to Law
>Vice admiral Maynard off screened by Bartolomeo
>Vice admiral Bastilia one-shotted by Sabo
>This means Ban won't be getting a proper fight anytime soon
He was the last one one who had something like a fight, beside Escannor.
>unless there's a range limit or something for the commandments.
Ban just has to be more Zen, and control his anger.
This will be the moment Gowther enters the fight. He will kill Fraudrin, gets back his Commandment and becomes really powerful, but uncontrollable, thus removing him from th next fights, like Escanor. Next arc Pelio will help him find the meaning in life.
I doubt control really matters once it's already been triggered, otherwise the people that turned their backs on Zeldris would recover as long as they embraced Zeldris as their lord and savior.
I'll go with 'can only be hurt by the initial attack' which would force you to fight her in a punch fest and thus combo star would kick in.
Pretty much anyone but Mel and Escanor would be fucked by this standard since the only other guy who has a pure punch fest mentality is Ban and he's not REMOTELY capable of fist fighting a commandment unless he plans to constantly use Hunter's Festival to steal more and more power mid combo.
>Ban just has to be more Zen, and control his anger
Ban just needs to get more powers he "always had". Really, probably my only gripe with the Ten Commandments arc. I like Ban's character but this is ridiculous.
>turns into Galan
What is your subconscious getting at, anon?
*We don't even know what Diane's treasure does yet.
Unlike Ban's, her weapon is right there, but it does nothing.
It fucks you up, that's all you need to know.
There's a bit of foreshadowing that implies it does something, too. I think it was right after Mel used his ST for the first time.
I don't see other Clans intentionally crippling their best with mystic laws to uphold like Demons do. They are not scum, they have standards.
>Demons getting salty about about Angels fucking them up when the massacre entire towns and are universally despised by all the other clans
Now that I think about it Diane has shoved almost nothing so far. Creation is the giant clan's magic, which means she might have her own magic as well, kinda like Hendy has the Druids' Purge and his own Acid. Then there's also her ST's power. She's also learning to dance which might be useful. She really needs those power ups too since even though she's physically strong and has powerful attacks they're not enough to damage the 10C and she's neither fast enough to dodge their attacks nor sturdy enough to tank them so she can't really do anything against them.
>Creation is the giant clan's magic, which means she might have her own magic as well
This I would like to know. Japenese should for a change ask Nakaba some interesting questions, like yours.
They're on revenge tour now. Would be interesting how they were back then. Remember that they were surprised how the magic properties of the land were assimilated by humankind.
He's not afraid of trying something new and given that he's going the "Goddess were evil all along!" route, things doesn't look good for her.
>hyped as fuck
Nerobasta is the Goddess' Merascylla.
Nakaba didn't forget about the best Holy Knight >>145385814 and even made him a leader of the Knights sent into the city, so I am sure he remembers her.
>Escy and Espresso fight again
>solar eclipse comes along
>Dark Escanor awakens
>it's his split personality crazy version
>anger towards Cappucino kills him
>So it's safe to say that NNT wont end with the Ten Commandments the real bad were the Goddess clan all along.
No, Mel outright said that the Commandments are worse than shit and need to be taken out, there's a clear reason why he betrayed them. We've seen them do horrible shit to humans, at most from this chapter we just see that their rivalry with the Goddess Clan is personal and has nothing to do with Goddess Clan being dicks to the other Clans. Until we actually see the Goddess Clan doing heinous shit there's nothing justifiable about the demon clan's actions.
>Until we actually see the Goddess Clan doing heinous shit there's nothing justifiable about the demon clan's actions.
There is, actually. Since 4 other clans, including human clan, are the goddess clan's vassals in the war 3000 years ago, I bet they also took part in those war crime the goddesses did to the demons. The TC are just exacting their revenge on them.
And Mel's words can't be trust, since he is the demon clan's traitor. He has no reason to talk anything positive about them.
Nice fanfiction. We never saw any of that but we have seen Demons doing a shit ton of heinous shit and no there's nothing justifiable about their actions since their only reason for their genocidal tirade was because Mel betrayed them.
>And Mel's words can't be trust, since he is the demon clan's traitor.
That's actually more reason to trust him over genocide creating Demons. He was right about them.
This chapter just seems to imply that the goddess clan are lazy and don't really give a shit which would be interesting (guessing next arc will be a goddess arc).
Still hoping Delores shows up next arc.
>This chapter just seems to imply that the goddess clan are lazy and don't really give a shit
Exactly, they don't seem to intefer with the business of the other clans like the Demons. Obviously since this is taking cues from the Bible there's going to be a rift between Goddess and Demons now whether who did who to the other is irrelevant because we clearly see the Demons doing bad shit all around while the Goddess not doing much of anything.
>since their only reason for their genocidal tirade was because Mel betrayed them
And Goddesses breaking their word (and killing all captive children). And other Clans joining in fighting them, yes.
Also, if Vampire specials, the anime opening and 2 former leaders of other Clans being among their elite are any indication, they are perfectly fine with coexisting with other races as long as they don't do something underhanded.
>The TC are justified in killing millions of humans because humans were defending themselves from soul eating immoral demon
Its the Uchiha clan all over again
Exactly, they don't interfere with the business of other clans and let other do the dirty work.
They started eating human souls only after getting released not so long ago (it's explained why, I am serious). And they have/had servants from other races.
>Exactly, they don't interfere with the business of other clans and let other do the dirty work
Only because of >>145396177 (this was in manga too).
>humans were defending themselves from soul eating immoral demon
We don't know when they started eating human soul. Maybe it's an arc of revenge for their lost children. A lot of tribes in Africa have the habit of eating their enemy's heart too.
>And Goddesses breaking their word (and killing all captive children)
That was only brought up this chapter and may only be a personal grudge between "up the ass" and them. The true reason for their current rampage is because Mel betrayed them and they were sealed as a result. And this arc has outright shown that THE DEMONS WERE NOT GOOD even before Mel's betray so its not like they did nothing wrong more like they're just butthurt at everyone. For all we know Mel is really the asshole here who fucked everything up but its not like the Demons weren't doing bad shit on the side either.
>they are perfectly fine with coexisting with other races as long as they don't do something underhanded.
Literally only one Vampire was cool during that special while the rest were blood sucking monsters
But it's the Demons (the Demon Demons, not Neutral or Law Demons) who are the Lawfags here, it goes against everything I know about SMT.
He said that he couldn't think of a way of bringing her back for the tournament that wasn't fake and forced.
Still think we're more likely to see her again than not but she'll be given a natural introduction. Doesn't really make sense only having 3 giants in this series when there's an entire clan.
>They started eating human souls only after getting released not so long ago
Bullshit. There's literally no reason for Goddess to fuck with the Demons unless they weren't doing already heinous shit, which they were even back then.
>But it's the Demons (the Demon Demons, not Neutral or Law Demons) who are the Lawfags here
>Literally taking everything by force and bringing the world through a path of destruction
>Literally only one Vampire was cool during that special while the rest were blood sucking monsters
And this cool Vampire really thought that Zeldris, a guy "from the proud Demon Clan" or something like that, was too good for her, someone "from treacherous Vampires". She at least thought highly of them.
They wouldn't have asked how a human soul tasted if they had eaten them before.
Their elite themselves have to uphold and follow the Laws they represent, they're extremely Lawfag.
Could be that Dreyfus breaks free with his iron will or that Gowther mindfucks Fraudrin. What would happen to Fraudrin if he lost his body, would he return to Danafor to his original one or would he just possess some random holy knight?
Wasn't it recently implied he was specifically poisoned for the sake of framing the sins?
Though, even if not, I guess he'd need to go not necessarily for his strength, but because Purge would be bad.
They're really going all out to make as much money from this series as possible huh?
It better at least have cute King x Diane scenes.
I'm still kinda surprised we haven't seen a movie announcement yet. Maybe one will get announced after the 4-parter.
>There's literally no reason for Goddess to fuck with the Demons unless they weren't doing already heinous shit, which they were even back then.
They were all literally fighting over Britannia because it was huge nexus of magical power. Which it no longer is because all the filthy life crawling all over it consumed it.
When's the second season of the anime going to air? It was originally announced for 2016 but it's been pretty quiet since then. I initially assumed that it would start right after the 4 episode miniseries but it doesn't look like that's going to be the case.
>really thought that Zeldris, a guy "from the proud Demon Clan" or something like that, was too good for her, someone "from treacherous Vampires". She at least thought highly of them.
A romanticized version of the real thing?
>Their elite themselves have to uphold and follow the Laws they represent
Yeah look at Garlan and Mera
There's a 4 part special starting this month that Nakaba is overseeing.
It could be entirely original but indications are that it's going to put the anime back on the manga storyline and also do the stuff that was cut from the Gowther introduction.
Mel's death seems like it would be a good stopping point for S2, hoping they don't try and squeeze in the current arc for it.
Seriously now? I thought the whole point of the miniseries was to make the anime consistent with the manga by fixing some of the stuff that the anime changed/omitted. What's the point of doing that if they're not going to continue the story?
Hack and slash metroidvania in the vein of Darksiders, with fighting styles of the sins resembling DMC 3/4 Dante's styles. E.g. Full Counter/Revenge counter something like Royal Guard, etc. Based on which Sin you pick, you traverse terrain through different routes. Something like that.
>Mel's death seems like it would be a good stopping point for S2, hoping they don't try and squeeze in the current arc for it.
That depends on how long it'll take for Mel to revive. I think the studio would be hesitant to end the season with the main character dead, so if Mel ends up waking in the next couple of chapters they might just end it there. The invasion of Liones would also be a pretty good end point for the second season considering the parallels to the first season, not the mention all the action going on.
>A romanticized version of the real thing?
No, more like self-deprecation.
>Yeah look at Garlan and Mera
Not sure what Mera is doing there, drinking is not a grave sin, but Galan
