Nero doesn't have to be a magus to know spells, she only has to have dabbled in magecraft to be able to Imperial Privilege mastery over magecraft.

It does, but when gender manipulation is something that even Da Vinci is capable of, Nero, who can accomplish feats like producing the Domus as her Noble Phantasm via high thaumaturgical principles, should have enough magus knowledge to do so even if it is not possible by Imperial Privilege alone, which it may very well be. After all, the skill is explicit in that it can affect the body at the rank Nero has it at. There is also precedent with Chevalier D'eon's skill that allows him/her to swap genders at will and allows for various buffs, quite like a much weaker version of Imperial Privilege.

I'm saying it uses some of the highest principles of magecraft, and that it is pretty similar to Reality Marbles which are also High Thaumaturgy, both of which are facts stated in her Matrix in Extra, and Reality Marbles can be cast instantly or with a chant depending on the character in question.

It would definitely explain her A rank magic though. I'm not disagreeing. I just don't see it as all that likely. At least not for being like that. Magic and art do tie in together, so I can see that. She does do chants before her NP, so I can see that, but I always thought it was something more simple. Not as intentional as you make it sound. Like perhaps it's just a result of her claimed mastery over the arts that her NP, which is a work of art, functions like great magic. Like I said, art and magic go together. I just think magic would have been brought up by her by now when she mentioned all her accomplishments. There is no reason for her to hide it. It would make sense I guess if you take it as something from her whimsical side. I'm not disagreeing, just you seem to be forcing an awful lot of thoughts into this one idea of speculation. And I really think she would have mentioned it by now.
