Another way to understand it is while you can't make time go backwards, you can make time go forward at different speeds depending on some things like how close to the speed of light you are moving. If you reached the speed of light then you would basically reach the end of the universe/time instantly

Yea, I guess that's true. I'm really dissapointed in Vizards. The premise was really good but ultimately they were pretty useless. I wonder is it because Kubo didn't used them when they were fighting weaker opponents or didn't get power ups like the rest of 2nd and 3rd rate characters. Every single one of them jobbed to this shit quincies so that other Shinigami could step in and finish them with some bullshit asspull. Basically there were too many other characters and so few enemies. And since Kubo had to finally mention Vizards he figured he'd just make them job and problem was solved.

HxH in general has some fucking cool shit. Nen is probably the best power system that anyone has ever come up with in manga. I loved they way they spend so much time in the theory of the system and watching the characters develop their powers along that. Compared to something like Naruto where the Jutsus seemed pretty cool early on they never really went deeper into it and instead kept coming up with new more powerful shit to tack on top of the old stuff.

Also Kurapika's chains are fucking cool although a tad on the edge. The fact that he has to set rules for himself to get his powers and if he doesn't follow those rules he dies.

forget the engineering and whether or not a warp drive is possible for a second, and think about what would happen if you actually used a warp drive to travel faster than c. things start to get inconsistent if you have more than one observer, and it essentially allows time travel.
entering time travel into reality is even worse, because you have to deal with all the paradoxes that break logic.

Bleach fans always rant and rave about Barragan's aging breath thing, but I always liked Hacchi's basic powers, before Kubo half forgot what the hell he'd written. His spell conjured boxes were essentially negative space. The whole spirit magic class of powers were mostly underpowered in Bleach but Hacchi's spells prevented anything from happening inside of their designated space, and it was implied would even undo anything happening inside them. On the one hand that would mean things like "healing" things bu undoing damage, but also making nigh impenetrable walls by disallowing any happening from getting into and thus past them. The first time Kubo explained his powers he had it so Hacchi's box around their hideout prevent things from noticing it. Rather than building a conspicuous wall around the place it just made it that anytime something thought to consciously notice the building at all the spell undid the event of it being noticed.

I've yet to see a character who uses the powers of a Warlock that are not only interesting, but used in any form other than "I am the bad guy so i used bad magic". A character doing good via morally questionable methods is always more interesting than doing good by being good.

An example could be that a warlock is posed with a situation where a few innocents are in danger and need to be rescued, but also a big-bad is endangering many more at the same time. While he typical "good moral choice" would be seen in the choice to stop the big-bad (the lives of many over the lives of a few), the "questionable methods" could be seen through deeming the trapped innocents effectively doomed, so the warlock would harvest their souls/life energy/whatever to summon a greater monster/cast a more powerful spell in order to defeat the big-bad

I like Stands more because of the creativity it forces but Nen is far more versatile and if you look at it from an actual real life perspective having Nen would be way better than Stands. No chance of getting something like Cheap Trick or Highway to Hell with Nen unless you actually want an ability like that for whatever reason. Plus, although it has the potential of going into bullshittery, being able to put restrictions on your ability to make it stronger is pretty cool. I feel like Togashi has kept a good balance on not going overboard too much with Nen except with Meruem but the whole point of Meruem was that in terms of Nen and strength he was so far above everyone else it wasn't funny.
