I remember watching Night Raid back then when it aired. Not a very compelling show, but I appreciated the concept.

Honestly it would have worked better if it was just a plain spy-drama and not a story about supernatural powers. I felt it tried to do a bit too much and in the end did nothing.

FMAB is solid as fuck but honestly I don't usually pay much attention to OST

Symphogear and hidamari sketch are my favourites
Symphogear has a great soundtrack even without all the character songs and hidamari's soundtrack is super relaxing and nostalgic.

My personal favorite is probably Patlabor OST. Particularly the first two movies.

It's played in Guts' first battle as part of the Hawks when they raid the camp. I'm pretty sure it's also played when they fight the Black Sheep knights and Guts does the solo charge, I could be remembering wrong there though.

I did not notice the anime's music was like this. Watched it with a couple of pals after I thoroughly enjoyed the manga and must not have given it the attention it deserved at the time. Thanks for this post, definitely need to give it a devoted re-watch alone.
